3M Scotchshield Ultra S800 bonds the pane together so it holds under impact instead of collapsing into the opening. It is not bulletproof and 3M does not claim it is — it is designed to delay entry, which is usually all that is needed.
The same product handles storm debris, which matters more in Northwest Arkansas than forced entry does.
3M's own comparison test: quarter-inch tempered glass with no film, against the same glass with Scotchshield Ultra S800 and an attachment system. Contains a staged forced-entry demonstration.
